I had a pretty busy day today. I went to my OB appointment and everything looks great still. My blood pressure was alright. My BP was 136/88 I don’t like the 88 though. Last time it was a lot lower. We discussed the birth a little and she seemed positive I would delivery naturaly, unless something changes at the last minute. I will have to be in the operating room just in case so the only person I can have in the room is Alan. Enough about that.
If you want to read my “Whiney Bitch post” that my hubby called then continue reading… If you can’t handle my bitching then don’t go there.
An update from last week.
Last Thursday Alan and I made a trip out to my doctors office, which is a 40 minutes drive from home. I had to go out there to fill out a medical release form. They should have faxed my damn medical records to my disability/benefits department no later than yesterday morning. I called my disability guy yesterday afternoon to see if he recieved the fax yet and of course, he didn’t. I called the doctor office and they redirected me to some bullshit answering service and I left a message and..take a guess.. I didn’t get a call back. So, today I asked my doctor what is going on and she gave me my file and had me to take it to the front desk and make sure it was sent off. They went back and obviously didn’t do anything..as I was leaving the lady was making copies to finally fax off to the benefits department so I can get short term disablity from work. I’m really pissed off because my records should have been there yesterday by the latest. I now have to wait another 7-10 working days to find out if my disability review board BELIEVES my bed rest is warranted even though they have the doctors release form from work stating, bed rest due to high risk pregnancy. I am so pissed off because they didn’t question my torn ACL injury that wasn’t as threatening to my health and the babies health, but now my pregnancy raised red flags for them. Bullshit. I shouldn’t be screwed out of something I should get. I’m sorry, but they say it’s okay to be paid and be secured by my job for a non-life threatening injury without asking for records and NOW I have to be reviewed to “make sure your problem is warranted enough by the review board to be accepted, so we need all your medical records for prenatal care because bedrest isn’t common” crap. That quote was exactly what my disability rep said. Nice, huh? Makes me want to run and get a lawyer.
I’m stressed about their stupid reasonings. I’m pissed off for having to deal with people when you give them 48-72 hours to deliver something and learn they haven’t delivered because they are retarded and lazy.
Also, the reason why the painters never showed up Monday..Their truck broke down..Nice for them to CALL and let us know, right? Right.
I wrote a few days ago about getting my hair cut. After my appointment Alan took me to the salon so I could get it trimmed. I had the lady cut about 2 inches since the split ends were crazy. I feel so much better. We came home and just finished watching a movie, The Weatherman.
OMG that’s fucking stupid, I am so sorry. It’s just so stupid how the damned system works, with their damn rules & loopholes & so on… it makes me so sick.
And it’s so not a “not so common thing” regarding bed rest because my boss is leaving a month & a half early from our work, for her maternity leave, because her baby is too low & that she’s been known to have her babies really fast.
As for you leaving three & a half months early because of “a high risk pregnancy” isn’t unwaranted when you’re having TWINS! You’ve got 2 babies in your belly, that is most deffinatly a “high risk pregnancy”. They are being major assholes & it’s really sad to know that a wonderful loyal worker such as yourself could be out of a job because of this, it’s insane.
I really do hope all this works out okay & that they do believe you & that you still have your job & security that you deserve.
Love you honey, have a great day & I hope to talk with you soon. *HUGS & KISSES*
I’m glad everything went well at your OB appointment. Lucky for you, your BP isn’t high… I’m stuck dealing with it during my pregnancy.
Hiya Elena (Star)-
Glad to hear you had fun at DisneyLand!! I can’t wait to seee your pics. It is crazy how they are dealing with me, and I am sure I am not the onlyones who are dealing with this crap. It’s sad really that people have to deal with and I know there are many others who are in very serious situations that aren’t getting treated fairly and properly.
Allison-
I guess you can call me obsessed..lol
My last pregnancy my BP was 186/110 and it caused me to be induced at 36 weeks. Its really scary and I hope yours doesnt get too serious. They put me on bed rest on the 3rd, my BP was 158/85, to help prevent the PIH from developing, my normal BP is 135-40/65-70. Thankfully its gone down but the 88 worried me this time.I have become a nut over making sure it doesn’t go over 90
Hope you’re feeling well!!
Glad everything went well at your appointment. That’s always reassuring.
I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time getting your short term disability taken care of. Lazy people are so frustrating. I hope everything gets straightened out for you. You don’t need any additional stresses right now.
